About the Staff
Our Student Congress instruction will be led by Kearney coach Janet Rose and promises to be a great learning opportunity for a growing forensics event. Public Forum instruction will be led by Millard West coach Fred Robertson. Millard South coach Scott Wike will once again lead the policy debate staff.  Our LD staff will be led by Jenn Larson and Marshall Bunde.  Toni Heimes will be in charge of hosting in one of the nicest facilities in the state, and just ask former NDI staff and students about the food at this camp.

***We have always hired plenty of staff for all debate events and will do the same this year.  Students get individualized instruction at NDI.  We have had several students come to debate camp after their 8th grade year and begin with immediate competitive success in their novice year.  Last year we drew several students from out of state and we hope to do the same this year.

We are increasing prices this year in order to cover copying in policy debate (but there are no “extra” charges at NDI) and in order to pay staff a bit more, but we still provide the best debate camp bargain in the country.  $550 for policy debate, $450 for LD debate; $350 for public forum, and $125 for Student Congress (all meals included), and if a student does both Student Congress and Public Forum, the cost is $450.

I will once again work to provide housing for students who come in from out of state or from a distance and who do not have someone to stay with in Lincoln.  Lincoln students who participate in the camp can receive discounts of $80 for housing one student in LD or policy, $60 for one student in Public Forum, or $25 for one student in Student Congress.  Students can also commute to and from camp if they choose to do so.

We promise to provide excellent education and training in a fine facility with great food throughout the week, closing with a camp competition judged by some of the best debate minds in the Midwest.

Cost
A $50.00 deposit is due from student or coach participants by May 30 in order to save a spot at 2008 Summer NDI

Our price for 8 days of instruction, meals included (10 of them), is $550 for each policy student or $450 for each LD student. The price for Public Forum camp participants will be $350. However, if a Lincoln-based LD or policy student’s parents provide housing for 1 student, the price is reduced by $80, for 2 students, $140, and for 3 students, $180. A Lincoln-based Public Forum student’s parents providing housing would have the price reduced by $60 for 1 student, $100 for 2 students, and $130 for 3 students. A Lincoln-based Student Congress student's parents providing housing would have the price reduced $25 for housing 1 student and $40 for housing 2 students. Housing 3 Student Congress students is banned by the Geneva Conventions

Coaches, you pay just $50 per day for the Student Congress, LD, Policy, or PF camp. There are also two full tuition and meal scholarships available via application to the National Forensic League, first come, first served.
